While our curriculum provides a strong foundation for various cybersecurity certifications, exams and their fees are not included.

TDX Arena is our cutting-edge, cloud-based platform where you can hone your offensive and defensive cyber skills in a simulated, real-world environment.
How does this program count as experience to employers?
Using our TDX Arena platform, you’ll engage in practical activities and challenges that simulate real-world cybersecurity scenarios, allowing you to apply classroom knowledge directly to industry-relevant tasks.
Will I earn a degree?
You’ll receive a certificate of completion, signaling your readiness for the cybersecurity workforce.
Is the curriculum current?
Our curriculum is continuously updated to reflect the latest industry standards, tools, and technologies, ensuring you learn the most relevant skills.
How long does the program last?
The program is 32 weeks long.
Where are classes held?
The program combines 60% virtual classes with 40% self-paced study. Participate in live, online sessions and engage with instructors and peers through a cloud-based chat platform, all from the convenience of your preferred location. Select cohorts take place in person at Central Florida Research Park in East Orlando.
When are classes held?
Our program is designed to fit into your busy life, with evening classes held either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday.
When can I start?

Who are the instructors?
Our classes are led by a team of cybersecurity professionals. With a low student-to-instructor ratio, you’ll get personalized support and attention in every session.
Eligibility
Is this program only for current or former students?
No, the UCF Cyber Defense Professional Certificate is available to anyone, regardless of their professional or educational background.
Do I need a degree or tech background to enroll?
No prior degree or tech experience is needed. To discuss your eligibility, please reach out to an Admissions Advisor at (407) 605-0575.
Can I transfer credits to or from this program?
Credits earned in the UCF Cyber Defense Professional Certificate cannot be transferred to other courses or degree programs.
What’s involved in the application process?
Start by scheduling a personal consultation with an Admissions Advisor to determine if a career in cybersecurity is right for you. After that, you’ll meet with your Senior Enrollment Advisor to discuss the program details and career goals before enrolling.
Is there an age requirement to enroll?
Yes, you must be at least 18 years old to join our program.
Is this program eligible to report for my tax returns?
The courses and training offered by UCF Continuing Education are for non-credit programs. As a result, per current Treasury Regulations, we do not include information pertaining to those courses on IRS Form 1098-T. For detailed information, consult IRS Publication 970, Tax Benefits for Higher Education.
Financing
How much does the program cost?
Tuition is $18,900 for the UCF Cyber Defense Professional Certificate, not including the non-refundable $180 registration fee. Tuition, fees, and deposits are subject to change.
Are there financing options available?
Yes, we offer several financing options. Some participants may qualify for personal or private education loans. You can also choose to pay in monthly installments at 0% interest or pay in full after enrolling. Florida residents may also be eligible for WIOA funding. Do you offer referral discounts?
Yes. The referred learner would receive a $1,000 discount off the price of tuition. Terms and conditions apply.
Career Support
Is job search assistance provided?
Yes, our curriculum includes career prep training with sessions on optimizing your LinkedIn profile and tailoring your resume. You can also work individually with our Learner Services team to develop a job search strategy and receive coaching on both behavioral and technical interviews.
What can I expect from the virtual events?
Throughout the program, you’ll have access to live virtual events, including alumni panels, industry-specific discussions with experts, networking sessions, career readiness talks, and pop-up info sessions with potential employers.
Do career support services cost extra?
No, all career support services are included in the cost of the program.
Is job placement guaranteed?
While we provide extensive job search support during and up to six months after the program, we cannot guarantee job placement. Our team is here to assist you every step of the way.

What is a rolling cohort?
Select cohorts will use a rolling cohort delivery model. Participants will learn from a university-approved instructor and alongside students from other participating universities across the country. After completing the requirements, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion from the UCF Cyber Defense Professional Certificate.
